ABOUT
Project XLR8
Hi! I'm Tanay, Founder of Project XLR8. Let me tell you how Project XLR8 started:
As an early 11th grader, I spearheaded the VolunGearing campaign, which focused on promoting skill-based volunteering. When this 5 month-long campaign ended, I realized a much bigger problem at play: There was no large-scale platform that could connect NGOs to volunteers based on their skill. With the same mindset, I started project XLR8. Our project has 2 different phases:

Phase 1 (Funding and Database formation)
In phase 1, our primary focus becomes acquiring funding (for our phase 2 plans) and starting the formation of our database of NGOs and volunteers. We aim to complete this by a rigorous social media campaign where our portal for registration will become our website.
Phase 2 (Automation and App development)
Phase 2 will focus on the development of The elev8 app. Through our app, we will be able to document the skills of all our volunteers which will allow better matching to NGOs. Our database will be connected to Amazon Web Services and all functions in the app will be automated.
